Indonesia is set to leverage its role as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 to draw significant investment, forge technology partnerships, and foster industrial collaborations with businesses across the Eurasian region. The event is slated for July 6–9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, where Indonesian enterprises and government officials will showcase opportunities tied to the nation’s advancing industrial strategy.
The Ministry of Industry in Indonesia is utilizing the New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN) as a blueprint to cultivate a more competitive and sustainable manufacturing sector. This strategy addresses global shifts such as digitalization, energy transition, and changing supply chains, aligning with Indonesia’s broader Golden Indonesia 2045 development goals. Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that the strategy aims to create avenues for international collaboration through investments, technology transfer, and the expansion of industrial capacity.
SBIN is centered around four primary areas: enhancing value-added production from natural resources, advancing industrial technology in line with the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting green industrialization, and bolstering industrial human resources. As part of this initiative, Indonesia plans to bring over 50 industrial companies to INNOPROM 2026 to engage with potential Eurasian partners. Key areas of focus include industrial technology cooperation, with opportunities for firms specializing in machinery, automation, petrochemicals, and advanced materials to partner with Indonesian manufacturers in modernizing production processes.
Investment in industrial parks and participation in downstream processing and supply-chain development are also on the agenda. Indonesia is actively pursuing technology and investment partnerships concerning strategic minerals like nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium. The nation’s downstream industrial growth is anticipated to spur demand for processing technologies, manufacturing equipment, and materials engineering. Additionally, the agricultural and food-processing sector is poised for collaboration, with the AGRO pavilion showcasing Indonesian business opportunities in food-processing technologies, logistics, distribution, and access to regional markets.
Boasting one of Southeast Asia’s largest manufacturing bases, Indonesia’s manufacturing value added was approximately $265 billion, ranking it 13th globally, as reported by the Ministry of Industry. Non-oil and gas manufacturing exports reached $147.9 billion by August 2025, accounting for nearly 80% of the country’s total exports. Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development and International Industrial Access Tri Supondy noted that Indonesia’s participation at INNOPROM aims to solidify its standing as a long-term industrial partner for Eurasian economies, offering a platform for discussions on investment projects, technology transfers, and supply-chain partnerships across various manufacturing sectors.
